Concrete /render protection? Is it required?

Hi My roof is leaking. I live in a 100 year old house in London UK. Water is leaking into the eves. I have had several roofers come over, all suggesting different reasons for the problems. I recon water is flowing down the shared parapet wall and through the concrete that holds up the leading.To hold off the next rain fall and whist I try and figure out myself what the problem actually is. I have applied concrete along the top of the leading. I think this should temporarily hold the water off from seeping through.I have used a quick dry concrete was used for external use. My question is do I need to seal or paint this concrete to protect it from the rain. Or is the bare concrete strong enough to face the elements? I hope you can help.Best wishes, Charlie
